A Martian Atmosphere Boundary Layer (MABL) Code was developed and applied to several Martian entry environments. The equilibrium thermodynamics appropriate to the latest model of the Martian atmosphere was incorporated into a single-temperature, chemical non-equilibrium boundary-layer code. Laminar and turbulent flow results for the 8.6 km/s entry of a 30 deg, sphere-cone vehicle were obtained. They revealed shock layer temperatures as high as 9000 K and substantial non-equilibrium concentration behavior.
