The Marsokhod movement control, which ensures that the Marsokhod comes to a specified region, scientific investigations are carried out in the process of movement and the operation of the scientific devices during the scientific sessions, is discussed. The repertoire of the dataware required of the Marsokhod undercarriage and the tasks of the safety control system are disclosed for this Marsokhod. Possible methods for automatic driving of the undercarriage are discussed, and comparative assessments are produced; requirements are formulated for the computer complex. Practicability of the course indication system is shown in the absence of the magnetic field on Mars. Data are given which were obtained at the laboratory and proving ground tests of the Marsokhod undercarriage.
