The participation of the French National Space Agency CNES in the Soviet
mission to Mars in 1994 is discussed. The mission orbiter, balloon
system, autonomous station and penetrators, and Mars Balloon Relay are
described. The planetary and plasma payloads and the astrophysical
experiments are listed and the daily flight profile is shown.
