During 1998-2000 extensive ground-based observations yielded 133 continuous, H2O vapor profiles across the Martian disk. High-dispersion, CCD echelle spectra sampled Martian atmospheric water vapor from northern spring through the start of summer in the southern hemisphere. The slit was placed either in the N-S direction along the central meridian to study the latitudinal distribution or E-W to study the diurnal behavior. Abundances will be presented for the late spring-early summer season in the southern hemisphere. Supported by NASA grant NAG5-7791.
