The use of strip photography for producing high-quality maps if the interor and exterior orientation elements are available for any moment of the exposure is discussed. The displacement of images due to the motion of the vehicle is calculated for the cases of vertical and intentionally tilted strip photography. It is concluded that the effect of image displacement on image quality is relatively small.
