The magnetic field structures and rotation measures (RM) of four AGN (BL Lac, 3C279, 2134+004, 0235+164) have been mapped at seven epochs from 1998.73 to 2000.31 using the VLBA. After correcting for RM effects, the magnetic field direction of all jet components in BL Lac were found to be transverse to the jet at all epochs, as expected for oblique compressional shocks. The RM of jet components was low (< ~300 rad-m-2) at all epochs, while the core RM varied from < ~300 to 7,500 rad-m-2. This is only the second report of a variable RM in an AGN core. Perhaps more surprising was the emergence of a nearly-stationary new component that appeared in the middle of the jet. All ten previous jet components monitored since 1980 have originated in the core. We also discuss RM and magnetic field maps of the other three AGN.
