We use the Integral Field Spectrograph VIMOS to map the physical parameters in a sample of 24 star forming galaxies selected from the SDSS database. Among the most important parameters that we derive are the dynamical mass and star formation rate. We present examples of the maps that we obtain and demonstrate their potential with a case study of the interacting Seyfert 1.9 LEDA 135736.
