A mutual spectral analysis has been performed of the annual mean values of the index of geomagnetic activity Ap and of the near-ground air temperature anomalies ΔT for the latitude range 72 - 87° for the period 1884 - 1969. For the first time, high levels of correlation between Ap and ΔT have been noted, which give evidence of the polar-cap troposphere connection with the main solar cycles.
