The manifestation of Pi2 geomagnetic pulsations on the background of VLF hiss in the lower ionosphere is examined for a particular event recorded on March 5, 1984. It is shown that Pi2 pulsations in cyclotron VLF noise can be a manifestation of the longitudinal component of the pulsation electric field in the distribution function of high-energy electrons in the case of a low-intensity source.
