The hydromagnetic-dynamo model of the cyclic process in the sun's convective zone, in which differential rotation and gyrotropic turbulent convective motions play the main role, is investigated. The employed difference method for the numerical solution of the basic equations of magnetic-field generation allows the system of unsteady partial differential equations to be solved without reducing it to the eigenvalue problem. The principal results are the following: (1) an oscillatory solution in the quadrupole mode is obtained; (2) it is shown that the period of the oscillations and the critical dynamo number essentialy depend on the jump in the conductivity at the boundary between the convective zone and the radiative nucleus as well as on the diamagnetism of the convective zone. In particular, the diamagnetic effect can strongly increase the period of the oscillations.
