A two-fluid model is analyzed for magnetoparametric instabilities. When
the ratio of the relativistic gyrofrequency to the plasma frequency is
1, 1 1/2, 2, and 2 3/4 enhancement or suppression of the instabilities
of the modulational modes takes place. This is discussed in relation to
the Crab nebula.
