Magnetometers on the spacecraft Mars-2 and Mars-3 were used to measure
the magnetic fields in the immediate vicinity of the planet Mars. The
results of those measurements are given along with data from the Mars-5
satellite. Other topics discussed include shock fronts, solar wind, the
magnetosphere, and eigen magnetic fields.
