An analytic expression is obtained for the magnetic field of an incompressible plasma stream, flowing past a semiinfinite blunt body; this type of flow serves here as a model of interaction between the solar wind and the earth's magnetosphere. Approximate formulas are derived for the magnetic field some distance from the body and in the vicinity of its surface.
