We propose to obtain WFPC2 images of the globular cluster system of M87 in F555W and F814W at various galactocentric radii. We intend to observe the globular clusters in 5 fields that are 2.5,7.5,10 and 15 arcmins south of the galaxy, roughly along a N-S line and another field 1.7' N of the galaxy. Sub-arcsecond dithering will be employed to reduce the effect of undersampling of the psf.
