The colour-magnitude diagram for the UV-bright, intermediate metal-rich,
RR Lyrae rich globular cluster M62 has been obtained. The horizontal
branch is found to reach the turn-off luminosity, as in the extreme case
of NGC 6752. The importance of this behaviour in the context of globular
cluster evolutionary status is briefly discussed.
