The lunar surface gravimeter used the moon as an instrumented antenna to
search for gravitational waves predicted by Einstein's general theory of
relativity. Tidal deformation of the moon was measured. Gravitational
radiation is a channel that is capable of giving information about the
structure and evolution of the universe.
