Luminosity functions of nine Abell galactic clusters were determined from square regions of 4.6 Mpc on a side. Measures of characteristic galaxy magnitude did not indicate a correlation with cluster morphology, central density, or magnitude of the first-ranked galaxy. Similarly, a comparison made between cluster luminosity function and a composite for all nine clusters did not provide evidence for a correlation between deviations from the composite and cluster morphology. The mean values of the Schechter (1976) function parameters M(asterisk) and alpha were in keeping with those previously determined by Schechter and by Dressler (1978, 1980). It was found that unlike the composite differential luminosity function, the differential luminosity functions for A569 and A1656 do not rise monotonically to fainter magnitudes, but instead show dips.
