A sample of 219 Seyfert galaxies (Sy G) in the interval of absolute magnitudes M(p) between -18.5 and -24.5 is used to construct the luminosity function and determined the total spatial density (about 0.0002/cu Mpc) of the Seyfert galaxies. It is shown that the Seyfert galaxies in Markaryan's survey are 20-30 percent of all the Seyfert galaxies in this range of absolute magnitudes. Galaxies of the type Sy 2 are not less than half of all the Seyferts. It is shown that the bright wings of the luminosity function of optical samples of field galaxies, Seyfert galaxies, and quasars form a continuous luminosity function corresponding to exponent n of approximately equal to 3.7 in the dependence of the spatial density on the photographic luminosity.
