Low frequency (0.455 MHz-250 MHz) noise measurements were performed on Schottky barrier mixer diodes known to perform well in millimeter wave receivers. The effects of anode diameter and bias current are investigated. Excess noise is found in the frequency range of interest. The excess noise magnitude is found to be dependent on anode diameter but appears largely independent of applied bias current.
