Scientific paper

Linear dispersion relations of low-frequency dust modes have been derived by employing the Vlasov kinetic theory for the motions of electrons, ions, and dust particles in a hot and uniformly magnetized dusty plasma. Because of the large mass of the dust grains, the finite Larmor radius effects become significant for dust dynamics giving rise to the existence of new low-frequency dust modes. The importance of these low-frequency dust modes in dust coagulation and dust crystallization as well as in dusty plasmas connected to space and astrophysical situations has been pointed out.
