Imaging radar observations of the Moon at long wavelengths probe up to
tens of meters into the mixed dust and rock of the lunar regolith. These
images support geologic studies, mapping of resource-bearing deposits of
pyroclastic glasses or titanium-rich basalt, and the search for safe
landing sites with ready access to such resources.
