Attention is given to the transformation of the distribution function and density of trapped particles in the magnetosphere from night side to day side. Results are presented on (1) the transformation of parameters of magnetic drift shells, taking into account the branching of these shells from the day side and (2) determination of the boundaries of the region of absolute trapping, in which the drift shells are completely confined within the core of the magnetosphere. Two examples of density distribution are considered: (1) when the distribution function is isotropic in terms of pitch angle from the night side and (2) the case of large pitch angles.
