Secular variations in the gravity potential of Phobos and in its radial derivatives due to the tidal evolution of the Mars-Phobos system have been estimated; the body of Phobos has been represented as a homogeneous tri-axial ellipsoid. The tidal and rotational deformations of the model have been computed, as well as its figure variations and variations in the mechanical energy of the Mars-Phobos system; the second derivative figure variations and variations in the mechanical energy of the Mars-Phobos system; the second derivative of the mean motion of Phobos has been estimated.
