We present high signal-to-noise, high time-resolution infrared (IR) and X-ray pulse profiles of the Crab Nebula pulsar taken over time baselines ranging from 10 months to 5 years. We place upper limits on any variability in the pulse profiles on timescales from the 33-ms pulse period down to the limiting resolution of the observations ( ~ 20 mu s). We discuss the implications of the pulse profile stability for models of the pulsar emission mechanism and for the suggested long-term modulation of the gamma-ray pulse profile.
