The relationship of long-term variation of the sunspot number Rz,the cosmic ray intensity and the geomagnetic disturb index Ap have been investigatred for the period 1965-1990,covering two complete solar cycles and ascending phase of solar cycle 22 by using their average values. It is found that most of yearly averages are made up of homogeneos sets of monthly values with very little variance, indicating the significance of the observed changes from one period to another. The correlation coefficient between Rz and Ap is quite lopw, which varies randomly from one year to another.Wheeras the significant negative correlation observed between cosmic rays and Ap index needs further investigations. The effect of Rz on cosmic rays is found to be predominant during the declining phase of solar activity, whereas very little correlation is observed during years of minimum solar activity, without any significant diffrence between diffrent solar cycles.
