The frequency spectra of low-frequency cosmic ray variations are analyzed on the basis of recordings of the neutron component obtained at 15 stations during the period from 1957 to 1970. Frequency spectra of intensity variations are calculated by a mathematical filtering technique proposed by Efimov et al. (1972), for periods ranging from 40 days to 13 years. N-S symmetry is determined from an analysis of data obtained simultaneously at symmetrically located high-latitude stations in the Northern and Southern Hemispheres. The asymmetry of solar activity is determined using the same approach. It is shown that solar activity also exhibits an N-S asymmetry.
