Local Cosmic String, Lyra Geometry, Exact Solutions

A local cosmic string has been studied in the context of Lyra geometry.
Following Vilenkin's prescription for the energy momentum tensor, it is
shown that only exterior solution of the local string is consistent in
Lyra geometry.
