Groups of galaxies are identified on the basis of the CfA2 redshift survey and a method proposed by one of the authors. Of the 15577 galaxies that have redshifts of 1000-15000 km/s and lie at galactic latitudes |bII| ≥ 20° , 1971 groups with n ≥ 2 members were found, with a combined total number of 6787 members. The remaining 8790 (56.4%) galaxies constitute a sample of “single,” isolated galaxies. The dispersion in the radial velocities of the groups and their radii are found to depend weakly on the distance to the observer.
