The performed comparison of the linear size evolution of quasars and of radio galaxies indicates a distinct behavior of these objects with redshift and radio luminosity, with the radio galaxies being generally stronger evolving with epoch. This does not conform to the predictions of the quasar-galaxy unification scheme based entirely on the orientation dependent effects. Intrinsic differences in accretion phenomena or in environmental conditions of the underlying core in quasar or radio galaxy must be rather involved.
