Linear polarization data are presented for 21 T Tauri stars. Seven of these stars have been closely monitored to assess their variability. It is found that the majority of T Tauri stars are variable in linear polarization. The observations of RY Lup do not show the 3.7-day periodicity reported by Bastien et al. (1987, 1989). A possible 3.65-day periodicity is found for RU Lup. The results suggest that the rotating spots or dust condensations in orbital movement that are responsible for the periods or pseudoperiods observed in T Tauri stars are not stable.
