This paper presents results for several useful line-of-sight quantities related to H II regions, such as line intensity ratios, ionic column densities, and temperature fluctuation, t squared. The value of t squared obtained from the models depends on the considered ion, gas abundance, gas density, and stellar temperature, as well as on the considered line of sight. Based on these results, a comparison between abundances obtained from empirical methods and those adopted in the models shows that the appropriated value of t squared must be used in any empirical abundance determination, especially when discussing abundance variations across a given nebula.
