Collision integrals have been calculated which determine the R(0) and R(1) line shapes of HD in He and H2 gas at temperatures up to 500 K (He) and 300 K (H2). The required scattering matrices have been obtained in close coupled calculations using an improved interaction potential of H2-H2 (F84) in the isotopic substituted form. The results are of interest in connection with the planned observations of atmospheres of the outer planets.
