In a former paper (ApJ; august 1998) we disclosed how the Dielectronic Recombination (DR) of MgII in the envelopes of early type stars, contributes to the infrared flux. In that ocassion, we made same approximations to carry out the calculations. In the present paper we investigate in which way these approximations may influence our results. We have studied the significance of lines originated in magnetic dipolo and electric quadrupolo transitions, which were neglected in the first work. We have also considered the variation of different atomic parameters. Finally, we investigated the influence of the physical conditions in the estellar envelopes where the DR take place. Particularly, we have studied the plasma opacity; we have considered different sources of opacities and their possible influence in the emitted infrared flux.
