The results of U, B, and V observations of the Epsilon UMa star, obtained on four nights during the period April 16-May 2, 1970, using the 38-cm reflector of the Uttar Pradesh State Observatory, are compared with the characteristics of the Gamma UMa and Beta UMa stars. The light and color curves of Epsilon UMa show light and color variability on all nights of observations. The type of variability does not fit an integrated light curve with the period given in the catalog of Hoffeit and Jaschek (1982), and, thus, the Epsilon UMa star does not appear to be an Alpha CVn variable.
