The question of the existence of extraterrestrial life is of great
scientific interest. Presently we have knowledge of life only on the
Earth that appears to have a single and unique biogenesis. Arguments are
made that it is more likely that the living process exists throughout
the cosmos, than that the Earth is the only inhabited planet.
