Italian Hours, Ore Italiche, Alleghe, Landslide Fall

In January of 1771 a huge landslide fell from Mount Piz (BL) blocking the stream Cordevole. The tragic event caused the deaths of 49 people and created the lake which became the symbol of Alleghe. In this article the author starts from the date uncertain of the event for talk about the Italian hours, the time system in operation at that time in Italy. In addition to the time systems, the author briefly discusses the other tools we use to place chronologically the events of our lives: the days of the week and months of the year.
