The structure of the latitudinal profile of auroral-electron precipitations is examined, taking into account the finite longitudinal conductivity of the lines of force and the viscosity of the magnetosphere by solving equations of magnetospheric-ionospheric relationships in the linear and nonlinear cases. Attention is given to ground-based and satellite measurements of electron precipitation in the auroral region and their connection with parameters and disturbances of the upper magnetosphere.
