We will place constraints on the nature of the dark matter and events in the early Universe by measuring the slope of the mass fluctuation power spectrum P(k) in the linear regime, 10-25hmpc. The mass fluctuations are detected by the weak gravitational lensing distortions of galaxies: we will image 2fdg5 squares of sky which subtend 25hmpc at the distance of the lenses, and average the shapes of the 500,000 galaxies brighter than R=24 in each such square to measure the shear induced by large-scale structure. We have imaged 8 such fields and have S/N 4 detection of the ≲1% coherent shears in these fields. The dominant noise source is now cosmic variance; we request here time to complete the project by observing another 12 fields to reduce the cosmic variance uncertainty to 10%. The scientific returns of the project are substantial: measures of Ω_m, Ω_(Lambda), and P(k) (on linear and non-linear scales) are all obtained independent of any other methods.
