A description is presented of the quasi-static stable state of a scalar field in a closed Friedmann universe with a periodic distribution of the energy density along the radial coordinate. The angular nature of the pseudo-Goldstone scalar field ensures a stable classical solution, with a constant winding number. The numerical solution obtained here is related to the possible periodicity of galaxy distribution.
