The authors show how combined large-beam infrared and radio observations
towards M87 may be explained by assuming the existence of a large
(105K) dark matter halo surrounding the giant galaxy M87. The
total mass of the more extended halo is 1013M_sun;. Such a
halo would be able to close the cluster gravitationally.
