Lagrangian Equilibrium Points, Librational Motion, Three Body Problem, Angular Velocity

Scientific paper

By means of the present three-body analysis of the motion of a small mass in a field whose force function contains q(1) and q(2) parameters that are either positive or negative constants, previous results for straight line and triangular libration points are refined and supplemented. The possible existence of two straight line libration points either between the main bodies or behind one of them, and even of three libration points between the main bodies, is demonstrated. The regions of the existence of Lagrangina solutions in the plane of the q(1) and q(2) parameters are also determined.
