The laboratory photopolarimeter of the Kharkov State University Astronomical Observatory is described. Data are presented on the phase dependence of the polarization and depolarization of samples which can be used as references in determining instrumental polarization. Measurement results for natural and synthetic samples are presented which reveal atypical negative polarization which is unusual in the light of planetological data.
