The rotational spectra of SiC and of the most abundant isotopomers were observed in the 340-475 GHz frequency range in a laboratory glow discharge through a SiH4-CO-Ar mixture cooled at liquid nitrogen temperature. A set of molecular constants was derived from the measured frequencies for each isotopic form, and the frequencies of the lines of astrophysical interest were predicted.
