Flux distribution curves of the synthetic spectra for the Kurucz model atmospheres are compared with the observed flux distribution curves of stars of various spectral and luminosity classes and solar metallicity. It is concluded that Kurucz models predict the real flux distributions quite well. However, the measurement and absolute calibration errors of the available flux distribution curves of stars (5--10%) and the cosmic dispersion of their effective temperatures and surface gravities limit the verification possibilities.
