The present discussion of current problems in solar-nebula evolution, dust particle precipitation toward the nebular central plane, and the possible development of a gravitational instability in the dust subdisk, proposes a solution of the dispersion equation for instability development in a gas-dust rotating disk without gas-component instability. Attention is given to a runaway scenario for the accumulation of planetary bodies. Mechanisms for the removal of virtually all initial solid mass from the asteroidal zone are considered.
