The dynamical friction in planar stellar systems is studied. It is shown that the force of friction which acts on a rapidly moving star is equal to the regular force arising in the plane of the stellar system and acting on objects external to it. All formulae, in contrast to the appropriate three-dimensional ones, do not have a parameter analogous to radius of the Debye's sphere.
