Components of many types of binary stars, as well as otherdiverse astrophysical objects, are accreting material throughdiscs. Some of the Algol binaries provide exceptionally brightexamples of this phenomenon which allow us observe and modelthe inner regions of accretion discs in detail. Not only dotheir cool companion stars give rather high accretion ratesthrough Roche-lobe overflow, but the underbareclipses of thehot accreting stars by these cool companions let us sample theundiluted disc emissions. We will obtain high-dispersionspectra in the underbartotal underbareclipse of TT Hya (B9.5V+K0 III-IV), a particularly bright Algol binary known to showabsorptions of a warm extended accretion disk in itsultraviolet spectrum. These spectra will provide a detailedunderstand of accretion by allowing us to identify the processexciting the emission lines and to use the kinematics of theline-scattering regions (1) to distinguish betweencontributions of the disk and of a wind, (2) to ascertain howclose to the disc any biploar wind from the system is formed, and (3) to determine the degree to which the disc rotates as asolid body.
