We have selected early-type galaxies with extremely high velocity dispersions (σ~eq 400 km s^-1) from the SDSS and studied their morphology with the HST-ACS. We now propose to use GMOS to study the kinematics of 8 of the highest-σ galaxies, including 6 which are elongated and extremely compact and dense, and (we believe) may be rapidly rotating. Deep long-slit spectra will provide rotation curves.
