We present preliminary analyses of HST/STIS data for three galaxies. All data are long-slit spectroscopy of galaxy cores with a wavelength coverage around the 8600 Angstroms Ca triplet. Data reduction was carried out with two independent software packages, one which optimizes the photometric precision while the other optimizes the resolution. Both packages give consistent results. Similarly, we performed two independent analysis using the Fourier Correlation Quotient (FCQ) method used by the entire STIS team as well as the Maximum Penalized Likelihood (MPL) method. Both analyses give similar results although the latter appears to give more robust estimates of the deviation of the LOSVD from the Gaussian form, especially for low S/N data. Preliminary estimates of the black hole masses in these galaxies are presented. Support for this work was provided to the STIS IDT through NASA grant NAG5-3158.
