Scientific paper

Millisecond quasi-periodic oscillations (QPOs) in neutron star low mass X-ray binaries (LMXBs) are signals that can be used to probe general relativistic effects, constrain neutron star mass and radius, and study the physical processes in the vicinity of compact objects. Here I review current understanding of these key issues and present some preliminary results based on our studies of the effect of the radiation force from the neutron star on the maximum kHz QPO frequency.
